Côte d’Ivoire’s Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët-Boigny (INP-HB) in Yamoussoukro has made significant progress in Africa’s higher education landscape. According to the 2025 Top University Rank (TUR), published by Research Analytics International, the institution rose from 36th position in 2024 to 27th place this year.

This improvement cements INP-HB’s reputation as one of the continent’s leading centers of academic and scientific excellence. The school is now recognized as the second-highest ranked Francophone university in Africa, reinforcing Côte d’Ivoire’s ambition to become a hub for quality education and research in the region.

The TUR evaluates African universities on several key indicators, including teaching quality, academic reputation, research productivity, innovation, and international visibility. INP-HB’s advancement is attributed to stronger research output, increased collaborations with global institutions, and investment in modern infrastructure.

Founded in 1963, INP-HB has long been a cornerstone of Ivorian higher education, training engineers, researchers, and industry leaders who contribute to both national and continental development. Its latest rise in the rankings not only boosts its visibility across Africa but also strengthens Côte d’Ivoire’s standing in the competitive landscape of global education.
